SWIMMING POOL WATERS¬ - QUALITY OF BATHING WATER IN SWIMMING POOLS

In order to protect the health of swimming pool and bathing site users, the Ministry of Health regulates the quality of bathing water in swimming pools and at bathing sites with the Rules on the quality of bathing water (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 39/2011 (64/2011 corr.).

Swimming pool users must be informed of the quality of bathing water; therefore, the operator must post a notice on the information board at the pool, or for each pool separately at a pool bathing site, providing the results of laboratory tests and the determination of compliance for at least the most recent laboratory test of the bathing water. They must also provide data on the frequency of sample collection in each pool and an explanation of the conformity assessment for the bathing water sample as to whether the bathing water conforms, or if the bathing water does not conform to the requirements of the Rules but is still suitable for bathing, or if the bathing water is unsuitable for bathing.
