E-Health 2008 is the sixth in a series of high-level e-Health conferences that have taken place since 2003. This conference is, as always, a key date in the e-Health annual policy awareness-raising agenda.
E-Health has begun to play a crucial role in all our countries in making healthcare a more accessible, high-quality, cost-effective, sustainable and safe service for our citizens, and one in which both health professionals and citizens can increasingly share.
In terms of e-Health, highlights will include: the prospective changes in health services provision, the collaborative work being done on good practices in e-Health, the focus on cross-border healthcare provision, the recommendations on e-Health interoperability, the prospective large-scale pilot project on e-Health interoperability, new telemedicine initiatives and stakeholder involvement in e-Health.
